Find your race's starting village, make a useful first hunting loop, and know when to move on in Lineage 2 C1.
A new character's first map is part of the class experience. Humans begin around Talking Island Village, Elves around Elven Village, Dark Elves around Dark Elven Village, Orcs around Orc Village, and Dwarves around Dwarven Village. Each hub has its own trainers, quest givers and nearby creatures. A route written for a human fighter may send a dwarf across the world for no benefit. Use your local village to learn the rhythm of hunting, returning and resupplying before copying another race's itinerary.
| Race | Starting hub | First thing to check |
|---|---|---|
| Human | Talking Island Village | Local trainer and nearby quests |
| Elf | Elven Village | Trainer and safe hunting exits |
| Dark Elf | Dark Elven Village | Local objectives and creature levels |
| Orc | Orc Village | Trainer, supplies and nearby targets |
| Dwarf | Dwarven Village | Profession path and gathering opportunities |
Walk through the village once: locate your trainer, inspect the available quests, identify a shop for basic supplies, and learn the nearest route out and back. Then pick a nearby target whose level and location fit your character. This first circuit prevents a common waste of time: returning for an objective you could have accepted before the hunt. Keep the first trip short enough that a mistake costs minutes rather than a long walk.
A useful early quest asks you to do something you already need to do, such as defeat a nearby creature or collect an item in the same area. Read the C1 quest record for its entry conditions, target and return NPC before setting out. If the task pulls you into a much harder area or demands a long detour, it may wait. Quest rewards are part of your income, but the time and supplies spent reaching them also belong in the calculation.
The first monster can look easy while the third leaves you without HP, MP, arrows or shots. Try a few fights, then compare kill time with recovery time. Move a little farther from a crowded spawn if you cannot find targets, or choose weaker enemies if you are resting after every pull. The best first hunting spot is one you can repeat safely with the equipment you actually own.
A village visit should answer a question: can you learn a new skill, complete a quest, sell a drop, repair your supply plan, or prepare for a longer trip? Check the class skill list at your current level before spending SP, and reserve enough adena for the next outing. Carrying a costly weapon but no matching consumables is a poor trade when a simpler loadout lets you stay in the field.
Leave the starting area when local creatures no longer suit your level, available quests point elsewhere, or your class needs a new trainer and hunting range. Pick a destination by its recorded monsters and travel route, not by a universal level chart. Before leaving, finish nearby objectives you care about and check where an escape scroll or teleport will take you. A move is useful when the next area improves your whole session, not just a single kill.
