Privacy choices

Cookies & analytics

L2Tools uses a small amount of necessary browser storage for requested features. Analytics is optional, remains disabled until you accept it, and is not used for advertising on L2Tools.

Necessary storage

These cookies or local-storage entries support choices or services you request, such as selecting a chronicle, using a saved calculator setting, signing in, or remembering your analytics decision. They are not used for advertising and remain available when analytics is refused.

Storage	Purpose	Typical duration
`l2tools_analytics_consent`	Stores your accept or refuse choice so the banner is not shown on every page.	Up to 6 months
`l2tools-chronicle`	Remembers whether you use the Interlude or High Five section.	Up to 12 months
`l2tools-player-level-*`	Remembers the optional player level used by calculators and drop views.	Up to 12 months
`l2tools_session and security cookies`	Keeps signed-in accounts, Discord sign-in and protected administration sessions secure.	Limited to the relevant session
`Interface storage`	Remembers theme, scroll restoration and user-requested legacy calculator saves in local browser storage.	Varies by preference

Optional analytics

If you accept analytics, L2Tools loads Google Analytics 4 to measure visited pages, feature usage, approximate geography, and browser or device categories. This helps prioritise content and technical fixes.

With your consent, L2Tools also counts completed searches by day, query, chronicle and category to spot popular topics and searches with no results. The site does not store your IP address, account ID or a browser ID with these search counts. Search statistics are kept for about 90 days.

Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled by the L2Tools integration. Refusing analytics prevents the Google Analytics tag from loading. Withdrawing consent disables future collection and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from this site.

Cookie	Purpose	Maximum duration
`_ga`	Distinguishes visits after analytics consent.	Up to 13 months
`_ga_5V7WSZ6V44`	Maintains the Google Analytics session state after analytics consent.	Up to 13 months

Google provides more information in its privacy policy.

Change your choice

You can accept, refuse, or withdraw analytics consent at any time using the button below or the “Manage cookies” link in the footer. Refusing analytics does not restrict access to L2Tools.
