Move a new Dwarf from the Strip Mine through repeatable quests and the two early mining dungeons while planning Scavenger or Artisan.
The Dwarf tutorial begins at the Strip Mine. Its native monster record contains level 1
Gremlin Scavenger and level 2
Longtail Keltir. Finish the tutorial, then visit Dwarven Village to check trainers, quest starters and basic supplies. A Dwarf may eventually specialize in gathering or crafting, but the opening still depends on surviving repeated fights without wasting all the adena that could fund later materials.
Revenge of the Redbonnet starts at level 4, Brigands Sweep at level 5, The Hidden Veins at level 6 and Covert Business at level 10. The C1 catalogue marks all four repeatable. Their names do not establish that the same monster advances them, so use the exact quest pages to check objectives and return NPCs. Select a pair only when they naturally share the mining region you intend to hunt.
| C1 quest | Starts at | How it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Dwarf's Tutorial | 1 | Strip Mine opening |
| Revenge of the Redbonnet | 4 | Repeatable village option |
| Brigands Sweep | 5 | Repeatable level 5 option |
| The Hidden Veins | 6 | Repeatable mining route |
| Covert Business | 10 | Later repeatable option |
Western Mining Zone contains level 4
Black Wolf, level 6
Utuku Orc and level 8
Goblin Brigand. Eastern Mining Zone includes level 11
Magical Weaver, level 14
Hunter Bear and level 16
Hunter Tarantula. That range lets you raise difficulty without treating every mining field as the same camp. Compare the length of the return journey and whether a current quest or useful material source makes a particular loop worthwhile.
Abandoned Coal Mines begin with level 6
Utuku Orc and rise to level 13
Goblin Lord in the recorded list. Mithril Mines begin around level 10
Monster Eye Tracker and include level 14
Akaste Bone Archer and level 19
Akaste Bone Lord farther in. The first mine is a reasonable test before committing to the second, but individual pulls and gear matter more than the location name. Scout an exit before moving deeper.
A gathered or spoiled material helps only if the fight to obtain it is sustainable and its use is clear. Save the relevant C1 item or recipe record, note what the Crafting Planner says is missing and compare that with the time spent farming. Buying shots, healing and travel can consume a large part of a low-level budget. A Dwarf choosing Artisan may value recipe inputs differently from a future Scavenger, but both still need equipment that makes the next hunt possible.
The Dwarf first-profession choice changes the purpose of collected materials. Scavenger follows a spoil-focused path, while Artisan works toward production. Read both C1 class records and their level 19 transfer quests before buying a warehouse full of unrelated components. Keep useful stock for a named recipe or farming plan, and sell or defer items that have no clear role in the next stage of the character.
