Plan first and second profession changes with C1 class paths, quest proofs, travel and skill preparation.
A transfer is a branch in your character's future, not just a reward for reaching a number. Start with the class tree: follow your race and current profession to the destination you want, then inspect its skills and equipment needs. A human fighter heading toward a defensive knight plays differently from one heading toward an archer or rogue path. Decide which daily combat role you want before collecting proof for a branch you might not enjoy.
Around level 20, the first profession opens through its own transfer requirements. The relevant quest, NPC and proof depend on the branch. Use the race and profession paths below to open the exact C1 quest before leaving town: confirm its entry level, first contact, ordered objectives and where the completed proof must be presented. Reaching the level alone is not the same as having the profession recorded by the guild master.
The second profession path is longer: its three quest chains open at levels 35, 37 and 39, with the class change at 40. Find your intended destination in the paths below to open all three individual quest records or its combined 3-in-1 guide. The combined route helps group nearby stops and avoid repeat travel; each quest page remains the place to check its exact objectives and proof. Keep track of the proof items already in your inventory before crossing the map again.
| Checkpoint | Prepare before leaving | Confirm on return |
|---|---|---|
| First profession | Destination class and its quest | Proof accepted by the correct master |
| Second profession | Three quest paths, travel and supplies | All required proofs and final master |
| After transfer | Available SP and suitable gear | New skill list and hunting role |
Long quest chains cost more than combat time. Carry enough adena for C1 teleports and ordinary supplies, then check whether an escape scroll from the current area returns somewhere useful. Quests may have sequential steps; a target reached too early will not necessarily advance an objective. Following the route in order is usually cheaper than repeatedly crossing the same region because one conversation was missed.
A completed quest objective can leave the character in its old profession until the right master accepts the proof and grants the transfer. Check the class name afterwards, then revisit the trainer. Your new profession may offer skills at several levels you already reached. Take a moment to assign SP and adjust the hotbar before heading straight back to a difficult hunting area.
Class trees and quest routes changed across Lineage 2 releases. Use C1 pages for C1 characters, especially when a later guide suggests a different NPC, proof item or destination profession. Private servers may simplify or replace transfers, so compare the recorded C1 route with the server you actually play on. The reliable plan starts with the destination class and its own quest records, not a generic checklist.
Open your race and first profession to find the quest for your level 20 change. Each destination profession shows the three quests needed for the level 40 change and a combined 3-in-1 route with maps and travel steps.
