I understand your decision. May the light of Einhasad guide you.
Now listen carefully to my words. A great danger looms in our future. Magisters have deciphered ill omens from the stars and the whispered messages of the elementals.
A growing tension between extremists from all races have made a chaotic future inevitable.
To survive the upcoming chaotic chronicles, we must earn the trust of other races and combine our forces to stem the disaster. We have decided to send an envoy to leaders of each race in order to regain their trust. This plan has been approved by the highest level of government. This is the Testimony of Trust that we must now ask you to fulfill. Please represent our race as envoy to the leaders of all the other races, and extract a promise of trust from each of them.
First take these letters to the leaders of the Elf and Dark Elf Village races. Your first meeting should be with Elven Village Hierarch
Asterios.
Come in! Your reputation precedes you, my friend! I am very familiar with your work to restore trust between the Elves and the Dark Elves. Now you must visit the northern ice land to meet with the leaders of the Orcs and the Dwarves!
Player choice:
Your spirit is good but you still lack experience. Train some more before you return. Complete preparation and proper timing are essential. I will ask you to visit these leaders when you are ready.
Period of Chaos is coming closer to being real while you are here. Why don't you go to the northern Orc Village faster? First, meet the Orc Village's Lord and then meet the Dwarven Village Lord to deliver our will.
Welcome, young friend, to the House of Elders. My name is
Lockirin Stonecutter. I am the Head Elder of the Bronze Door Guild, and the First Elder of the Guild Elder Association. Impressive, eh?
What I actually do is humor the old goats in the Seniors Association. So, what brings you here?
Player choice:
Nikola says that you were a great help. Hopefully this will lay a foundation for further inroads of commerce and trust between our races. Please take this letter to the Elder of your race. May the blessings of Maphr be upon you and your family.
I hear you are trying to restore trust between all races. Now that is a formidable task... I will pray for your success.
I trust you have delivered my letter?
You are not ready to take this test. Just a little more training...Then come and see me again.
(This quest may only be performed by Human characters of level 37 and higher.)
...I see that you are a novice that has not even changed your occupation once! This test is too much for you. Train hard to complete your first occupation change, then come see me again.
(This quest may only be undertaken by Human characters of level 37 or higher, who have completed their first occupation change.)
You will understand this better if you hear a bit of our history... Trust holds a deep meaning for the Human race. This trial will give you insight into that meaning.
I am sure that you will do well.
(This quest may only be undertaken by Human characters of level 37 and higher.)
I am
Kakai, the Lord of Flame! I am the one who has received the authority of Paagrio, the warrior of the Heavens, and the leader that leads the great Orc Village tribe with the powers of the holy flame. Weak Human, why have you come before me?
Player choice:
Hooray! Hello. Anyone willing to help me is most welcome.
They say that there is a mechanical instrument called Corein a hidden place in Cruma Tower. I think it is a 'mechanic brain' made by the high techniques of the Giants.
The problem is that recently somebody woke up the Core which was asleep for thousands of years. The Core began to control the creatures in this area. It is not certain whether the Core moves according to its own thoughts or someone else is behind the scenes, but what is for sure is that the lives of the nearby habitants are threatened because of the Core. Not to mention that it has a huge harm on the 'Black Anvil' Guild where the Giants study science technology.
Player choice:
Welcome, son of Human. I am
Asterios, the chosen representative of Eva, the mother of all forests and nymphs. Of the 12 chosen hierarchs, I am the only one remaining on this land to rule over the Elves of light in place of the final sovereign, Valderan. What has brought you to me?
Player choice:
Trust between the Elves and Humans? That's easy to say, but the truth is that it is not so simple...
Foolish Humans... I don't get the point of you Humans who broke our faith once, and want it back again now. Sorry to say but we don't trust Humans anymore. If you can represent the Humans and show us how strong-willed you are about regaining our trust, I'll give it a second thought.
Player choice:
If that is so, I shall request something from you. Due to the war with Humans, the forests have been scorched and many spirits have turned mad. Of course, we Elves who broke the harmony of the forest are to blame, but I think that you Humans who broke the war in the first place, are also responsible for it. Therefore I think it is reasonable enough, as well as meaningful, for Humans to help in restoring the forest.
In the Elven Forest, the wind spirit
lireins are getting more and more brutal and also dryard the tree spirits are getting fiercer and fiercer. If we can take care of the head of these spirits, we may be able to suppress their disturbance...
This, we Elves can't do, because of our relationship with the spirits. Therefore, I ask you Humans to do this job.
The Chief of the wind spirit
lireins is called Luel of Zephyr. You'll be able to meet her if you follow the
lireins. And the Chief of the tree spirit
dryads is called Aktea of the Woods. You'll be able to confront him while hunting for the
dryads...
I hope you can prove us your sincerity.
Thank you, son of Human. The breath of the wind will be used to cleanup the forest atmosphere and the seeds of the fresh vegetation will be used to grow new life on the ground. As the Elven Forest recovers from its wounds gradually, so will faith in Humans recover.
Take this letter with you. But don't expect absolute trust from us yet. The future of the two species depends largely on how Humans behave from now on... I will keep an eye on the Humans. Especially on young people like you...
By the way, I know where you are heading for now. I bet you'll try to meet those poor Dark Elves... But I warn you. They are not worth trusting. Be careful.
I don't understand why Paagrio Lord asked a Human like you to help our tribe's matter, but since we are now short of hands, I won't refuse it.
Player choice:
It seems like you have done well in the fight with the wild boars... Thank you. If we look into these Parasites of Lota we'll be able to figure out the person who dares to control the totem spirits. I can't help this nasty feeling about this case... I can smell something bad. Perhaps this is only the tip of the iceberg to what's about to happen. I wish my guesses were wrong... But I guess that my wishes are only wishes, since the approaching of the Chaotic Chronicle is there to see. I admit that you were of great help in solving this case. Give this letter to Paagrio Lord.
Kakai's prediction has proven false, young Human. Take this charm and leave. This is a totem exchanged by Orc Village tribes when strengthening their alliances and relationships! But this is merely a symbolic gesture! This means that I will give you a chance to prove whether Humans are truly trustworthy or not.
Now will you try to earn the trust of those crafty Dwarves? The only things they believe in are those things that glitter and sparkle... The trust that
Lockirin, head of the Dwarves, speaks of, may not be the trust that you believe in.
Greetings. It is not easy to restore trust once it has been broken. But now an opportunity has arisen for all to open their hearts, thanks to your efforts. Based upon your results, it seems that the impending chaotic chronicles are the responsibility of the followers of Shilen. You have done well. The
Mark of Trust is currently under the care of High Priest
Biotin of Talking Island Village. Here is a letter of recommendation, take it to him. He wants to meet you.

You must represent the Humans as our envoy to the leaders of each race. Deliver to them our wish to restore trust between our races, and obtain a promise of trust from each of them.
Take the letters I have given you and go to the rulers of the Elf and Dark Elf Village races. You must first meet with Elven Village Hierarch
First, meet with Cardinal
Seresin in Town of Oren. As I said before, he is working hard to earn the trust of the other races. I'm sure you shall be of aid to him.
Tetrarch
Thifiell
May the mercy of Shilen be with you. I am the chosen by Gran Kain, the Father of shadow, and Shilen, the Mother of the abyss. On behalf of the Patriarch, who was sealed by those hypocrites who follow the light. I represent the senior council that governs the race of darkness. I am Tetrarch
Thifiell, who released brothers from the underground place of exile and recaptured the shadow forest from Elves. Son of Human, why did you come to see me?
Player choice:
Tetrarch
Thifiell
Trust... How dare you demand us such a thing. Remember? Dasparion who betrayed us was from your race! It was also the Human Magicians who sealed our tribe leader! For what reason do we have to trust the Humans? Do you think that what you people have done in the past can be forgotten with just a simple letter? You fools! I can't even understand!
...However the Chaotic Chronicle which is mentioned in the letter is what we have been expecting also... When the time of disaster finally arrives, we might have to cooperate in order to survive... Mankind. I agree that even for such reasons, we have to recover the trust between us.
But trust is not something that can be given away just like that. If you show us the right sincerity, I shall consider your proposal seriously.
We have researched for hundreds of years to unseal the magic spell on our Chief Mitraell. He knows the secrets of Shilen and the queen of destruction better than anybody, so it is no exaggeration to say that he holds the key clue to the upcoming Chaotic Chronicle.
I want you to collect the research materials on freeing our tribe leader. I think that it is reasonable enough to lend a hand from a Human descendant, since it was your ancestors who sealed our Chief. Take this letter and meet Magister
Clayton of Dion Castle Town. He will tell you about the materials to collect.
I don't understand why the Tetrarch ask an outsider like you to do this such a job. But I have never doubted Tetrarch
Thifiell's wisdom and have carried out the rules with loyalty. Therefore, even though I don't really feel like it, I will help you. I will tell you the materials you must get from now on.
First, go to the Corridor of Death and gather the blood of the
guardian basilisk. 10 bottles of blood is just enough for a
basilisk plasma.
Also, from Southern Entrance of Wastelands, gather 10 aphids which you will be able to obtain by killing the soldier ants If you do so, you'll be able to get the honeydew.
Last, from the Cruma marshland of Dion Castle Town, catch the swamp stakatoand gather 10 bottles of their body fluids. By doing so,a
stakato ichorwill be made. When these 3 things are ready bring them back to me.
Basilisk plasma, honeydew, and
stakato ichor... You've found all 3 materials. Thank you.
Now take the materials that you have gathered and go back to Tetrarch
Thifiell He will tell you something.
Tetrarch
Thifiell
Good job, son of Human. You have been a great help for the research to free Mitraell, the tribe leader. Go back with this letter. It is a notice indicating that we accepted the Humans' request and agreed on the need for trusting each other for the upcoming Chaotic Chronicle. But this is just a beginning for the restoration of faith. We shall see if we could continue our trust in each other.
Now go back to your King.
Tetrarch
Thifiell
I will keep on observing closely the Humans' behaviors. By all means, I hope that our trust in each other deepens as time goes by. Now return to your King.
Tetrarch
Thifiell
What are you doing there, you still haven't left? Did you meet Magister
Clayton from Dion Castle Town? Did you come here to recover the trust between us, or do you have anything else in mind?
Thank you. It is hard to determine from their response whether we have truly earned their trust, but this is an important first step towards establishing a better relationship.
Now it is time for you to attempt to recover the trust of the Orcs and Dwarves. First, meet with Cardinal
Seresin of this town. He is one of many who are working to recover trust between the races. He will be helpful to you.
1 Cardinal
Seresin:
Remember, you are representing your race, make us proud. You must now travel to the northern ice land, meet the Orc Village's Lord first and then meet the Dwarven Village Lord. Pass them this ??.Afterwards get their promise of trust and bring back their letter of reply. May the glorious Einhasad watch over you.
A promise of trust...? Oh really? First you brutalize us and drive us deep into these mountains...and now you want our cooperation?... Your race deserves the reputation for knavishness that the humans ascribe to ours!
I'm sure you've heard the rumor that Dwarves only care about money. Well its true.
If you'll do something for us, we'll give you your promise of trust.
Some time ago, strange acting golems began to appear near Cruma Tower. Maestro
Nikola of the 'Black Anvil' Guild was sent there to investigate but all we have heard from him are complaints about this and that. Why don't you go and lend him a hand.
We will discuus this further when you have returned from assisting Maestro
Nikola and completed your task. He is stationed at Cruma Tower of
Hrrmph! Trust. You Humans always seek to rely on the help of others. Is it a residual effect of your lowly past of slavery? Once a slave, forever a slave, eh? In that case, fine. If you beg for help, I do not plan to refuse you. However, there is a price you must pay.
Do not quiver in fright. It is a simple request. I wouldn't dream of asking any more from a Human.
Recently Seer
Manakia of Giran Castle Town sent a letter asking me to send soldiers to face the evil spirits that appear in those parts. And so, the elite Warriors of the Hestui tribe were sent to Giran Castle Town. But we have lost contact with them. Go and find out what has happened to them. Take this letter and go to Seer
Manakia of the Giran Castle Town
Kakai has already spoken. Go and seek out Seer
Manakia! Leave at once to the Giran Castle Town
I would like to find out how the Core works in controlling other creatures. I think I will be able to figure it out with some help from you...
There are all sorts of creatures inside the Cruma Tower, but among them is a creature called
Portawhich is thought to be a golem. Magic, spirits... We Dwarves don't know much about such things, but when it comes to 'artificials' like golems we know them better than anybody else. We must be able to find something out if we inspect the inside of
Porta... To do so we need a sample of the heartstone.
Please! Go into the tower and bring us 10 Heartstones of
Porta.
Ohh! The Heartstone of
Porta...! With this sample you'll be able to find out how the Core controls the creatures from this area. I promise that I will share the study result with the Humans as well. There is no doubt that the core is a life-threatening creature to all of us around the area. I give you my appreciation in the name of the Black Anvil Guild.
Recently the giant wild boars so-called
Windsus which live in the northern part of Giran Castle Town, are making such a racket. The delegation of the Neruga who were traveling to Arden were attacked severely by them. There must be a reason behind the sudden uproar of the beasts. It bothers me that the totem of the 'Lota', the tribe that was annihilated here, had been a wild boar. After the slaughter, the totem spirit of Lota was put to sleep underground. It seems that somebody has awakened that spirit. And that is why the wild boars are making such a fuss. We found this fact at the cost of a few brave warriors from Hestui.
Can you help us solve this matter? If you kill the
Windsus, you'll be able to find a small insect-like thing sticking in its body. The thing is called
Parasite of Lota, and it seems to be the cause of the wild boars' craziness. Collect 10 parasites and bring them back to me.
Welcome. Long time no see! It seems like only a few days ago, when you left for the mainlands after finishing your lessons here, but here you are!!! Even more matured and grown up than before... Good to see you again, really...! Thanks to Einhasad's mercy...!
I heard from
Hollint about you. You did a great job, indeed. It is so hard to recover one's trust which had been broken once. But, I don't think it is impossible if our mind is sincere. As they said, the recovery of faith between the tribes, depends on us. Here, I'll give this to you. You deserve to have it. The mark of faith...
Oh oh, those are the bills of trust from the Dwarf and Orc Village races? You've done well to resolve the long hostility, which I guess was not an easy task. Go in and meet Bishop
Hollint. He is waiting for you...!
