Compare the three C1 second-class support paths through healing, MP support, resurrection, buffs and their actual transfer quests.
All three paths can support a group, but their native Chronicle 1 skill lists solve different problems. Bishop concentrates on stronger direct and group recovery. Elven Elder combines healing with MP support, defensive utility and group travel. Shillien Elder brings MP support and offensive buffs alongside its healing. A party with one healer should look at the whole outing: who restores HP after a bad pull, who keeps the main caster supplied with MP, and which buffs change the pace of a safe fight? A class name alone cannot answer all three.
Read the linked class pages before choosing a transfer. Bishop's C1 entries include
Greater Heal,
Greater Group Heal and higher
Resurrection ranks. Elven Elder receives
Recharge, later
Greater Heal,
Return and
Party Recall. Shillien Elder receives
Recharge and buffs such as
Death Whisper and
Empower, with higher direct healing appearing later in its second-class progression. These are examples of recorded skills, not a complete build or a ranking of heal amount per second. A support character still needs the MP and positioning to cast them when a fight goes wrong.
| Second class | C1 skill examples | A party reason to consider it |
|---|---|---|
| Bishop | Prioritize sustained HP recovery and recovery after deaths | |
| Elven Elder | Combine MP support, healing and a group exit | |
| Shillien Elder | Support caster or physical damage while covering heals |
When the tank takes damage faster than the party can finish an enemy, a direct heal or group heal matters immediately. When the fight is safe but the mage pauses after every pull,
Recharge can change the session's pace. Bishop's list makes it the clearest route for dedicated HP recovery; the Elder paths add ways to support another character's MP economy. Compare the specific rank, cast cost and target on each skill page. An efficient group also reduces the need to heal: one controlled target and room around the healer often save more MP than repeatedly recovering from a mixed pull.
A revive is not the same as restoring all XP lost on death. In the C1 class records, Cleric, Elven Oracle and Shillien Oracle receive early
Resurrection ranks. Bishop and Elven Elder gain higher ranks during their second-class progression; the Shillien Elder mapping does not show those same higher 40-plus ranks. Bishop also has
Mass Resurrection for nearby clan members. Available C1 records disagree on its first learn level, so do not plan a precise unlock from this overview. Check the live skill rank and the death guide before comparing the XP a particular cast can return.
Elven Elder's C1 skill path includes
Return and
Party Recall; the Chronicle 1 update describes
Party Recall as moving nearby party members to town. That can save a group that has exhausted supplies or drawn more monsters than it can recover from. It still requires a living caster, enough time and an appropriate position to finish the cast. Before a distant hunt, agree on a fallback: which town is the regroup point, who carries an escape scroll, and whether the party can retreat instead of trying to rescue a fight that is already lost.
Put the intended healer beside the other roles in a C1 Build Forge setup and inspect the skills available at the party's actual level. For one group, stronger healing and
Resurrection may decide the choice; for another,
Recharge, damage buffs or
Party Recall may keep the run moving. Note the equipment grade and available spellbooks as well as skill names. Then choose a familiar monster and watch several pulls: HP lost, MP spent, time to recover and escapes needed. A short repeatable test is more informative than declaring one support path best for every group.
The second profession requires a Trial, a Testimony and a Test before the level-40 class change. The C1 quest mapping below shows which three belong to each healer path. Open the linked 3-in-1 route to group travel stops and track proof items, then inspect each quest record for the exact NPCs and objectives. The shared Trial of the Pilgrim does not make the full routes interchangeable: the Testimony and final Test differ by race and destination class.
| 3-in-1 transfer guide | Trial | Testimony | Test |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bishop | Trial of the Pilgrim | Testimony of Trust | Test of the Healer |
| Elven Elder | Trial of the Pilgrim | Testimony of Life | Test of the Healer |
| Shillien Elder | Trial of the Pilgrim | Testimony of Fate | Test of the Reformer |
