Compare four Chronicle 1 caster destinations through their recorded spells, resource choices and exact second-class transfer routes.
Human Wizard leads to Sorcerer or Necromancer, Elven Wizard to Spellsinger, and Dark Wizard to Spellhowler. Each destination casts at range, but the available skill list is more useful than a single damage label. Compare what you can learn at your intended level, what consumes MP during an ordinary hunt, and which control or recovery option protects a bad pull. A later spell is not part of every level-40 starting kit.
Sorcerer has direct fire attacks and area options. Spellsinger has water and cold attacks alongside
Mana Regeneration. Spellhowler brings
Hurricane and HP-to-MP or draining choices. Necromancer mixes damaging magic, debuffs and a corpse-dependent summon. The table is a route into the C1 skill records, not a damage ranking: targets, spell ranks and server settings still decide how a fight plays.
| Second class | Recorded C1 skill examples | Question for your usual hunt |
|---|---|---|
| Sorcerer | Can you afford frequent casts and use area spells safely? | |
| Necromancer | Do debuffs and a corpse-dependent companion fit the route? | |
| Spellsinger | Does recovery and control suit your casting loop? | |
| Spellhowler | How will you balance HP, MP and distance? |
Prominence,
Hydro Blast and
Hurricane are identifiable C1 attacks, but the most efficient opener depends on the target and the number of casts needed to finish it. Begin far enough away for the first cast to complete, then record MP left and recovery time across several kills. A large hit that forces a long rest can lose to a calmer loop. Keep a control or escape option for a second monster instead of spending everything on the first.
Summon Corrupted Man requires a corpse in the native skill record, so it cannot simply be cast before any fight. Its crystal cost and the companion's experience share change the economics of a session. Necromancer also has
Silence and other weakening tools when a plain damage race is awkward. Inspect the actual skill rank and summon conditions before choosing the path solely for a creature shown in a preview.
A caster's recurring cost is more than the weapon price. Spiritshots follow weapon grade, while every extra cast spends MP and can delay the next pull. Compare a real weapon and shot stack in the C1 catalogue, then count charged and uncharged casts against a repeatable target. Leave enough supplies and MP for the trip home. A robe, jewelry and spellbook can matter to the build, but none replaces checking the skill's actual learn level.
Use the C1 Char Builder at the same level for each candidate, then select one C1 monster in the Mob Comparator. Keep equipment and shot use comparable; note casts per kill, whether the monster reaches the caster, and the recovery before the next pull. This does not manufacture a universal winner. It shows which path suits the camp and party you expect to play. Recheck after transfer because the available skill list changes.
Each destination needs a Trial, Testimony and Test. Sorcerer and Necromancer share a Human Wizard start but end with different final Tests; the Elven and Dark Elven routes have their own Testimonies. Follow the linked 3-in-1 guide for the exact destination, then use its quest records for NPCs, proof items and travel order. Reaching level 40 alone does not complete the chain.
| 3-in-1 transfer guide | Trial | Testimony | Test |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sorcerer | Trial of the Scholar | Testimony of Trust | Test of Magus |
| Necromancer | Trial of the Scholar | Testimony of Trust | Test of Witchcraft |
| Spellsinger | Trial of the Scholar | Testimony of Life | Test of Magus |
| Spellhowler | Trial of the Scholar | Testimony of Fate | Test of Magus |
