Compare recorded Chronicle 1 bow families and shot counts, then plan arrows, MP and a sustainable archer route.
A bow's purchase price is only the first cost. Chronicle 1 adjusted the Soulshot and MP use of individual bows, so an archer's long hunt also spends grade-matched shots, arrows and recovery time. Start from the exact weapon rather than a generic rule for all bows. Count the number of attacks in a short route and multiply by the bow's recorded shot amount when shots are used; then add arrows and the journey to restock.
The C1 item update distinguishes ordinary bows from long bows, with long bows described as slower and stronger. is one of the named long-bow examples. That does not automatically make it the better farming choice: a slower cycle can change how far a target moves, how often the archer must reposition and how many shots finish it. Compare full kills at one camp, keeping the arrow and grade budget visible.
The Chronicle 1 update lists at six Soulshots, at six, and at ten after its balance change. Their native catalogue grades are NG, D and C respectively. These are weapon-specific listed counts when Soulshots are used, not a claim that every archer fires with shots always enabled. Inspect the item page for its current record and the active server before buying a stock sized for several hundred attacks.
| Recorded C1 bow | Grade | Listed Soulshots |
|---|---|---|
| NG | 6 | |
| D | 6 | |
| C | 10 |
The item catalogue includes as D grade and as C grade. Do not treat an arrow stack and a Soulshot stack as the same consumable; both must be considered when comparing two bow setups. Also check Expertise before changing grade. Carry an escape option and enough spare arrows for a prolonged pull, but watch weight so the extra stock does not create movement or recovery penalties.
| C1 arrow example | Recorded grade | Use in a budget |
|---|---|---|
| D | Count the arrows planned for a D-grade bow session | |
| C | Price a C-grade archer's ammunition separately |
Double Shot,
Stun Shot and
Rapid Shot are C1 archer skills, but their ranks and costs depend on the class path. A skill-heavy fight may spend more MP than a simple bow pull; a dangerous monster may justify that expense to avoid a death. Compare the three archer destinations at the actual level, then choose mobs whose HP and movement allow the route to remain controlled. Raw bow attack is only part of the result.
Run a short repeatable camp and record attacks fired, Soulshots consumed, arrows used, MP or healing recovery and actual XP, SP and drops. Price the consumed materials using your server's market, not a fixed historical adena figure. If a higher-grade bow kills faster but spends substantially more per target, compare the net session rather than celebrating the larger hit. The C1 shot calculator can help estimate the material side of a resupply plan.
