Compare four native C1 weapon examples by fighting style, class skills and the cost of using them before buying an early upgrade.
A weapon is useful when its attack style and your learnable skills work together. A new player can equip many weapon types, but a future profession may favor a narrower set of attacks and passives. Look at the C1 class path before investing most of your adena. A weapon that helps the next twenty levels is a better purchase than one that wins a small comparison on the first day and then strands your skill plan.
These are recorded no-grade C1 weapons, not a ranked shopping list. A dagger favors a fast, close-range rhythm; a sword is a straightforward melee baseline; a club represents blunt fighting; a short bow permits ranged pulls but introduces arrow and shot costs. Open each item to compare its actual stats and grade. A weapon name does not tell you its fit with your character's skill levels or available adena.
| C1 weapon item | Type | Reason to inspect it |
|---|---|---|
| Dagger | Fast close-range option | |
| Sword | Melee reference point | |
| Blunt | Check accuracy and blunt skills | |
| Bow | Ranged opening and ammunition |
A bow can let you start damage from farther away, but movement and ammunition change the full cost of the kill. A dagger or sword keeps you close to the target, where incoming damage may make armor and healing more important. Blunt and other melee options differ in their skill support. Test a repeatable target and count hits, misses, time to recover and the supplies used before calling one weapon more efficient.
The first upgrade can change your per-attack expense. Inspect the item grade and the relevant Soulshot or Spiritshot before using a new weapon in every fight. A stronger weapon that forces you to stop hunting to buy shots may not improve the session. Keep enough adena for travel, healing and ammunition after the purchase. A caster should also check magical attack and Spiritshot use rather than comparing only physical damage.
Some attractive attacks belong to a particular class branch or require a later learn level. Check the C1 skill list for the character you have now and the profession you intend to become. If a bow is only a pulling tool for your party, its role differs from a dedicated archer's main weapon. If a blunt fits your current hunt but not a later skill plan, decide when you expect to replace it.
Compare the item record, its shop or drop sources, the likely market offer and the cost of keeping it active. Then test one change while the rest of your equipment stays the same. This gives a clearer answer than changing weapon, armor and consumables together. Early C1 progress is long enough for deliberate choices, but no single first weapon needs to define the character permanently.
