Plan upgrades, shots, travel and recovery without running out of adena during a C1 hunting session.
A weapon has a purchase price, but it also changes the cost of every fight. Set aside enough adena for the shots or arrows you intend to use, basic recovery supplies and the route home before buying an upgrade. If the remaining balance cannot support a normal session, the purchase may be too early. A modest weapon used consistently can outperform an expensive one that stays idle while you rebuild its supply budget.
You do not need a perfect spreadsheet to see a bad bargain. Count the shots, arrows and consumables used across a small sample of ordinary fights, then compare that expense with drops and quest progress. Add travel when the area is far from a shop or return point. Different classes and weapons create different running costs, so another player's profitable camp may not be profitable for your current loadout.
| Budget line | Check before leaving |
|---|---|
| Weapon and armor | Usable grade and current skill fit |
| Shots and arrows | Correct grade and enough for the route |
| Recovery | Potions or expected rest time |
| Travel | Fare or escape scroll for the return |
| Income | Quest rewards and plausible drops |
An upgrade should shorten fights, reduce damage taken, enable a useful skill or open a better hunting range. A higher displayed number does not automatically do all four. Check grade and Expertise, weapon type, shot grade and the class skills you plan to use. If your current equipment already handles the next area comfortably, a small reserve for travel and learning skills may have more immediate value than another purchase.
A drop can be vendor cash, a quest object, a crafting ingredient or something another player wants. Inspect its C1 item and recipe records before selling a material you will need later. At the same time, do not hoard every low-value object indefinitely; full inventory and repeated trips have costs too. The best choice depends on your profession path and the market of the server you play, not a fixed universal price list.
A listed market price can change by server, town and day. Compare it with NPC availability, recipe inputs and the time it would take to farm the item yourself. Do not turn one observed price into a guide-wide rule for C1. When a price is unavailable in the catalogue, leave it unknown and make the decision with the information you can verify: grade, source, ingredients and your own adena reserve.
Level 20 and level 40 can change your skill list and usable equipment grade. Plan for that transition before investing heavily in gear you expect to replace soon. A fresh profession may need different shots, arrows, spellbooks or recipes; check the destination class and item records together. The right budget is not a pile of adena with no purpose. It is enough freedom to train, travel and keep hunting after the next important choice.
