Song of the Hunter opens at level 45 in the C1 quest catalogue. Grey at Hunters Village asks you to prove yourself before the union will offer regular jobs. Treat the first license as an entry project: look at the target list, identify enemies your class can handle, and choose a route that does not consume the whole reward in travel and shots.

Select Tor's job by target and cost

Tor offers hunting assignments of different difficulty and payout. A higher nominal reward is not automatically a better job: some targets require more kills, riskier travel or harder recovery. Compare the required monsters with a hunt you already planned, carry enough supplies for one assignment, and return for the reward before changing objectives.

Keep rank work separate from ordinary farming

The first license test, later circle test and individual Tor assignments are different parts of one long quest record. Write down which one you are pursuing today. A target item for Grey is not necessarily the item Tor requested, even when the monster appears in both lists. This simple distinction prevents a long session of kills that do not advance the active step.

Use the union as a route filter

Once licensed, the union gives a reason to revisit higher-level hunting areas. Pick jobs that overlap the party's current XP, spellbook or material goals, then compare the real reward after one finished run. If the route is too slow, choose a different assignment rather than treating the quest as mandatory progression. Your class and party safety still matter more than the job's letter grade.
