Prepare a level 60–70 Chronicle 1 party for Antharas' Lair, compare its recorded monsters and keep ordinary hunting separate from the Antharas access quest.
The native C1 location record places the Lair of
Antharas in a level 60–70 band. That makes it a different trip from the level 45–49 Cave Servant route in Dragon Valley. Before gathering a party, decide whether the goal is ordinary monster hunting, scouting a deeper camp, or preparing the separate Antharas encounter. An ordinary hunt needs repeatable pulls, working supplies and a safe return. A raid plan needs its own access checks, roster and schedule. Mixing the two goals is an easy way to arrive with the wrong group.
Begin with the linked level 63–66 records, which show why level alone is not enough.
Malruk Soldier is marked aggressive and social, while
Plando and
Malruk Knight are passive but social in the native behavior data. A passive target can still be part of a dangerous group if its neighbours react. Let the puller check the room, bring one target toward the party and leave a retreat lane before anyone starts a long cast. These labels help with scouting; they are not a promise that a particular spawn is isolated.
| C1 monster | Level | Native behavior cue |
|---|---|---|
| Malruk Soldier | 63 | Aggressive · social |
| Plando | 64 | Passive · social |
| Malruk Knight | 66 | Passive · social |
Higher linked records include
Malruk Berserker at 67,
Malruk Lord at 68 and
Karik at 70. All three are marked aggressive and social, so a party that barely survives an earlier fight should not treat their larger base XP as a reason to push on. Try a small sample at one new checkpoint. If healing, MP recovery or lost control interrupts the next pull, go back to the camp the party can clear continuously. The strongest monster you can kill once is not necessarily the best monster to hunt.
| Deeper encounter | Level | Decision cue |
|---|---|---|
| Malruk Berserker | 67 | Aggressive and social; preserve a retreat lane |
| Malruk Lord | 68 | Check the party's recovery before advancing |
| Karik | 70 | Upper-band checkpoint, not a default target |
Choose a target caller and agree on who takes the first hit. Support players should say when their MP is low before the next pull, and damage dealers should avoid opening on separate enemies. Keep one response for an unexpected add: stop advancing, control the extra threat and retreat toward the route you already cleared. A caster's skill damage may end a dangerous fight quickly, but spending every last point of MP on the current target leaves no margin for the next one. Judge the party by a sequence of clean encounters.
Audience with the Land Dragon is a recorded level 50 quest associated with reaching
Antharas. It is not a requirement for defeating the ordinary Malruk monsters listed above. If the party is organizing the boss encounter, open the quest record and check each participant's steps and the server's current entry rules before setting a raid time. Do not assume that a member who can hunt in the lair can also pass the boss access check. The boss itself is a separate fight with a different preparation burden.
| Objective | Record to check | What to decide |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary lair hunt | Monster and location records | Target band, group pace and supplies |
| Antharas access | Audience with the Land Dragon | Quest progress and entry requirements |
A long trip becomes costly when arrows, shots, healing or escape supplies run out deep inside. Price the route, name a regroup point and carry enough consumables for the planned number of pulls plus an interruption. Treat listed drops as possibilities, not guaranteed payment for the journey. When the party finishes, record the last repeatable target, any dangerous add and the resource that ran short. Those notes tell you whether the next visit should bring more supplies, a different role mix or a shallower objective.
